NOMS has helped provide a framework for the management of offenders, with one offender manager throughout their sentence both in prison and in the community.

Ministry of Justice

NOMS is a key agency within the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice was formed in May 2007 and is the government office which holds responsibility for probation, prisons, courts and reducing reoffending.
