Northumbria Probation Trust Board is an independent body which provides clear leadership and governance for Northumbria Probation Trust. It is accountable to the secretary of state for justice under the Offender management Act 2007, and to our local removals communities.
The board is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the trust, the appropriate management of the budget and for employing all Northumbria Probation Trust staff. It also ensures the removal companies trust remains committed to continuous improvement, achieving high performance standards and delivering efficient and effective services which meet the needs of local communities.
The board operates with openness, dignity and respect, and strives to deliver community, victims and offender focused outcomes. It is committed the reducing inequality and supporting the wider issues of diversity.
Board meetings are held at our head office in Newcastle upon Tyne. They are open to the public for all except the confidential items. Dates for 2012/13 are
